Frédéric Defontenay, born in Paris in 1957, exhibits at Galerie Defontenay in Mougins, France.
"I was born artist, I trained myself at the age of 14 years. Before being a professional artist, I worked as a lithographer for Dali, Amanda Lear, Picot, Peynet... My first exhibition in 1990 was about Greece and allowed me to install my gallery in Mougins where I have been ever since.
The sun of Provence inspires me more than anything; there is so much charm and poetry, revealed by the ardor of the light. I never tire of exploring this region; from the coves of the Mediterranean to the mountains of Lubéron, always equipped with a camera." - Frédéric Defontenay
