Jose Martins
José Martins de la VEGA - Painter of Iberian origin (parents born in Andalusia, Portuguese border) - was born in 1951 in Casablanca (Morocco). He arrived in France in 1965, in Cannes on the French Riviera. José is also an author, composer, and performer and incomparable interpreter of Serge Gainsbourg, whom he had met. This complete artist (painting, photo, songwriter, performer, comedian) is also a sensitive humanist; a true creator! From an early age, the artistic world and concept of creation settled in his soul.
After many successful exhibitions in France and abroad, interspersed with concerts of his own compositions or those of Mr. Gainsbourg, José created the "TABLOGRAPHIES" Tablatures (registered models) are a marvel of elegance. José makes photographs of mannequins for showcases; dressed, hat, and imagined by he alone. These scenes imagined at will are beautifully painted in acrylic. The result is beautiful, of great finesse; a world of women, modern and galactic. To talk about it is one thing; to see it is another!
