Nathy

Nathy is a French artist born in the region of Lyon in 1965 and currently living in the South of France. She is a self-taught artist and she is passionate about contemporary art. For her work, the artist uses noble materials such as fabric, scrap metal, mirrors, metal and aluminium plates, and various recovered object such as used fire extinguishers.

She considers her creations pop and modest. She draws her inspiration from the "visual pollution" that covers the urban walls. Nathy started practicing this urban art by using her technique which consist in scratching in a sort of controlled way but giving place to chance, while doing a certain reframing of pieces already composed by others.
